I've found what I want under the tree on Christmas morn. It's a little (okay - it's actually quite big) book called THE ART OF HAMMER by Marcus Hearn. A compilation of poster art from every film Hammer put out from 1950-1979, The Art of Hammer showcases the beauty of poster art before there was Photoshop. This one's worth owning folks!
