Blood Rites

Just wanted to give a shout-out to an indie production company that has its severed head on straight: UNFILTERED ENTERTAINMENT. These folks are serious about making quality independent features (you may recall they joined Drive-In of the Dead's ZombiNation after their excellent WAKE THE WITCH), and their latest, BLOOD RITES, is no exception. Just received an e-mail from Unfiltered Entertainment's Chad Haufschild, producer of their upcoming film: BLOOD RITES, that included a little bloody morsel of cool news about their first film: WAKE THE WITCH. He said that BLOOD RITES is still in the post production phase and that visual effects are being finished up - with the hope of a final audio mix being done sometime in August. A quote:

"It always takes longer than you hope. I’m going to cut a trailer before I start the audio mix down. This flick will be done in September or it will be the death of me! And FYI – Wake the Witch finally made iTunes last week. We’re now available in Australia and New Zealand! Pretty sweet!"

Congratulations to Unfiltered Entertainment for their iTunes debut and expanding their distribution of WAKE THE WITCH to other countries! We were mucho impressed with the professionalism and production values of WAKE THE WITCH and are definitely looking forward to what the gang at UE comes up with next!

Unfiltered Entertainment

I am very excited to announce the first feature film from the Nebraska-based film company Unfiltered Entertainment. Sporting an extremely professional crew, UE has recently released their freshman effort: 'Wake The Witch.' After chatting with Chad Haufschild, one of the film's producers, I immediately got a sense of the enthusiasm and dedication their team had for this project. Filmed in Lincoln, NE - far from the glitter of Tinseltown - it can't be easy to capture movie magic; but UE gives it everything they've got to make a sincerely creepy picture. This one's worth checking out folks - if only to inspire the rest of us would-be filmmakers that anything is possible when it comes to independent film and it's high time we got off our duff and woke our own witch!
